I think it's safe to conclude it's a health crisis, if the obesity is caused by sugar.
What your neighbor ingests is none of your business, so nothing need be done on your part. crisis averted

OP, your problem is that you have a little knowledge, which is always dangerous. sugar in large amounts over a long period of time can cause type two diabetes, mostly because it change how the body processes insulin which is the counter to sugar. most poeple with type two diabetes are insulin resistant, which is why they need insulin up to three times per day.

sugar in moderation, like most anything else, is not the problem, its when you use excessive amounts of it, or its cousins glucose and sucrose, in various forms.
Thanks for the lecture on what's already known.

The cartels don't call it "Snickers" for nothing.

There are mirrorosities out there.

"Aspartame (APM) is one of the most widely used artificial sweeteners in the world. First approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for limited use in solid food in 1981, its authorization was extended to soft drinks in 1983 and then approved as a general sweetener in 1996 (FDA 1981, 1983, 1996)."

Luckily there is plenty of info out there so one can make informed decisions on what to or not to ingest.

Many claim they claim(ed) they don't (didn't) know.

That's a mercury mouth brain talking, right there.

The dentists make money both ways.

Bill Clinton said something like, "It's the economy, stupid."

Anyone with an intact brain knew that what he meant was, "It's the money, stupid."

So long as the produces of corn syrup get government subsidies, it is absolutely a concern of public health.

Hey, no corn, no Roundup.

Products are intentionally designed to replace (or disfigure) intelligence.

I say we use the Three Sisters: Corn, Squash and Beans - and care them with farm workers.

Henry Ford was running his cars on hemp-made alcohol (and fiber bodies), until THE OIL COMPANY took control of him.

Vinegar a day is good fer ya.
Organic made ketchup of apples and tomatoes would make a very good health food sauce, that would go well with fiber foods.

That's where Ron Reagan missed it saying that ketchup was a vegetable. Most vegetables and fruits comprise fiber.

Most conservatives avoid fiber like the plague. Conservatives have very delicate guts.

John Kerry is a rotten liberal.

So you're changing the topic. Subsidies are wrong no matter what they are for.
