Big dogs have helped a lot of people through PTSD.

Hard to say at this point if his dog helps him stay calm through a restaurant meal. Many people with PTSD react strongly to loud noises, such as dishes dropping or pans clanging. Perhaps his dog gives him something to focus on, pushes against his leg, whatever.

They both seemed calm enough through this woman's tirade.

Who cares. I kinda get tired of the overplayed 'service dog' BS myself, and I own hunting dogs....

I don't exactly enjoy dogs in the grocery store, but meh...
