There is no difference in the mindset and intent of a right-wing "Christian" and a right-wing "Muslim" when it comes to using religion to justify bigotry, and if given the opportunity, both groups would take the violence as far as they could.

I know of a gay pastor and his partner who go to a straight parishioner's home on Sundays to watch football.

I agree. It doesn't leave room for women or the LGBT community. Once they did that I realized that rights weren't the reason anymore, it was just hate that drove their decisions and acceptance. If you hate Trump you're in. I left as well. I went the independent route.

Why don't you test your theory? Go to the most right-wing fundamentalist Christian place you can think of -- somewhere in the Deep South, perhaps? -- and announce that you are gay. Then go to pretty much any Muslim country, especially those in the Middle East, and say the same thing. Report back on your findings.
Stop getting in people's faces, that's not the way to convert them to tolerance. Living the example of regular decent people who happen to be gay is the way to do it, and that is what won people over. Stop worrying about a church in the south. Not everyone is gonna like you, gay or not. Or will you not be satisfied until you can be inaugurated President (having won 100% of the popular vote) in your Cher ensemble?

And where is that happening, except one place in recent history that has been over hyped by our media ad nauseam? Where is the media outrage at Antifa? Must we wait until Antifa causes actual deaths before they finally condemn increasing violence from the far left? Or, will they keep minimizing Antifa and circle the wagons around it?

It's sorta funny how anything and everything that opposes Trump somehow gets brought in under the left's umbrella. That schism between the party and ordinary Americans is why Dems keep taking L's.
