What is he even talking about? Does he even know? Or just another moron brainwashed by MSM.
He's angry because Trump doesn't support the racist and very anti law enforcement group BLM? Or what?..

"By acting and not going, hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted and what we turn a blind eye to," Curry said Friday at the Warriors' media day. "It's not just the act of not going. There are things you have to do on the back end to actually push that message into motion."
I knew someone would bring up the older generation. They were very political but sports weren't as popular as they'd become in the 80s onward (I don't even think most NBA games made it on tv). Most sports fans today have no memory of what guys like Jim Brown were doing in the 60s. Perhaps the relative silence is what allowed sports to become so popular?
Maybe so. But hopefully now that all of this is happening, sports will no longer be popular or lucrative and black people will stop steering children towards it and start seriously considering other avenues of wealth. No need to keep damaging their bodies for this crap.

Not sure if I totally blame Curry. He's sorta in a pickle being that he likely grew up as the least oppressed black man in the NBA. His father Dell was a millionaire basketball player, two parent household, expensive private schools K-12, attended a small elite private college, makes millions fresh out of college, etc. Imagine the backlash from BLM and the black community if HE would've somehow rationalized going to the WH when several of his fellow black teammates don't go for moral reasons. "Uncle Tom Curry"
Trump's smart as a fox. This whole business with the players and the National Anthem was deliberately stirred up by the President himself and his advisors to keep attention away from the fact that he has failed to keep any of his campaign promises and the Russian investigation.
I don't support what some of the players have done. They are media celebrities and have at their disposal other venues that give them face time to express their political views. They do what they do and face the backlash from the fans.
Normally I would say that everyone needs to put politics aside and just be people for events like this however we are no longer in normal times. Trump is proving to be the most divisive President ever. This is not just an I believe this and you believe that like most presidencies. Trump's policies, actions and words are actively dividing the country, ripping families apart, and breeding hatred and violence against gays/blacks/immigrants/etc. Think about it...more people voted AGAINST trump than for him yet everything he is doing is like that majority doesn't even exist or aren't Americans.

I agree with you, but Trump did not think of this on his own. The Republicans have been doing the divide and conquer routine for at least forty years (successfully, too). Whether it is abortion, gays, bathrooms, the media, the blacks, transgenders, cakes, crime, illegals, California, and on and on, this has been the strategy. Trump is just really good at it.

It's not strategy in the least. It honors an opinion.

Like when Obama sent his AG to the criminal thug Michael Brown's house and would not send a person to a US Generals funeral. Like that?
