Why don't we just give people diplomas without them having to go to school, then we wouldn't even need schools and that would save a lot of taxpayer dollars right there.

So you switch to **** core and the students couldn't pass the test because you didn't teach them anything.

US high school system is about 100 years out of date. it requires a much more robust exam process, and needs to drop the nonsense of dozens of subjects lightly touched.

There is a very real reason you see American companies paying huge sums to bring over skilled people from the EU and other parts of the world.

Good. Standardized testing is a very poor way to measure knowledge/performance anyway. Finland is the country that's really got education figured out.

So state officials recognize a flaw in a test and you want to boot them out of the country because the test is being eliminated for 3 years?

"but the legislature voted in 2015 to drop it for the high school classes of 2015 to 2018."

Somehow I suspect the reason you want to kick out California has nothing to do with their education.

How about we expel states that don't pull their weight economically?
Cali would be in and half of the South would be out.
I'm sure the older test didn't represent the indoctrination, I mean education, that students are receiving today in CA public schools. Can't expect them to be able to read and do basic math after spending 4 years of LGBT studies. Illiteracy rate in CA is over 23%, worse than the US average. The least literate city in the country is where? California.

California gets $0.99 back for every $1.00 in taxes it sends to the feds, you're hardly doing an exceptional job at pulling your weight.

Finland has a national high school exit exam.
