Lots of poor info on this thread. Christopher Steele is British, so he doesn't have to plead anything, the senate committee has no jurisdiction over him. The guy they want to talk to is Glenn Simpson and his involvement in the dossier is only a part of what they want to hear from him. The rest has to do with...Russian meddling in US affairs.
This whole thing is dirty as can be,
Fusion is a company that specializes in smear campaigns. They call themselves "opposition research" for the Dems.
These people were so concerned over what they found they sent the dossier to the FBI.
Yet, when the FBI asked for sources/who funded them so they could verify this both Steele and Fusion refused to talk.

Certainly makes you wonder.
Christopher Steele has reportedly talked with the FBI and revealed his sources.
The irony is the Ruskies thought they had elected their stooge but Trump is so incompetent he did nothing about the sanctions against Russia or giving them a complete pass in the Ukraine. Trump had better fix a way to remain President forever because once he is just another citizen I expect Putin will have some discussions with him about things like paying of his loans.
Well, it's your leftist buddies, why would we expect the truth?
Lol. Sorry to pop your partisan bubble, but, leftist Republicans? The investigators did not care who they worked for. But Republicans initially ordered and paid for the research. Interesting.
"....In September 2015, as the Republican primary campaign was heating up, he was hired to compile an opposition-research dossier on Donald Trump. Who wrote the check? Simpson, always secretive, won’t reveal his client’s identity. However, according to a friend who had spoken with Simpson at the time, the funding came from a “Never Trump” Republican and not directly from the campaign war chests of any of Trump’s primary opponents...."
"...The dossier was produced as part of opposition research during the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The research was initially funded by Republicanswho did not want Trump to be the Republican Party nominee for president. After Trump won the primaries, a Democratic client took over the funding; and, following Trump's election, Steele continued working on the report pro bono and passed on the information to British and American intelligence services...."
Parts of it have already been verified as correct.
In fact there is no part of the dossier that has actually been proven false yet.
What part has been verified?
They know it's all made up bunk, especially the "golden showers " where supposedly Trump hired prostitutes to urinate on a bed in Moscow that Obama had slept in......
The dossier stated people doing stuff who weren't even ever in the country.
