Who had his guns taken away by the law except that he lied and kept one, meaning he broke the law several times before going completely off the rails. Something all mass shooters have in common, Mental Illness. Funny how some keep ignoring the fact that laws were in place that should have stopped both from getting a gun, and as we see it did not.
Yup...
Seems to be the common trend. Laws are there... they'd work if enforced completely.
Gun free zones do not work.
No, the point I was making is that the REAL assault weapon trade is not legal in the United States.
The so called assault rifles like AR15 are not really Assault weapons. There is no point of banning them.
I'm truly interested in what it is you are trying to say here. Since you are using a term without an established definition, what is your definition of a "REAL assault weapon "?
Also, there is no such thing as a "so called assault rifle", that term has an established definition.
Is it just me or am I the only one who notices all the gun chatter unrelated to the topic at hand in these threads having to do with the problem of gun violence? Some just can't help themselves it seems. Not sure I have ever read a gun thread that didn't include the likes.
Would be like a thread about the opioid epidemic, and instead of a focus on the problem, people begin discussing the "how to" make different kinds of drugs with different chemistry sets in their basements.
It's evident the man in Texas should have been stopped by NICS but wasn't because NICS is broken another example of gun law on the books not being enforced, but anti-gunners continue to want more laws. FixNICS | FixNICS.org
"high rate of fire" depends on the user of the rifle or any gun. With my arthritis, I shoot slower even with a semi-auto than most people.
And without semi-auto firearms many handicapped people would be unable to either shoot or reload easily.
