The bottom line is, they're not. And one raid nearly a decade ago doesn't make your case.
thank your lobbyist and congress for that -- what nobody wants to accept- it's the EMPLOYERS paying the lobbyists-- want to always blame it on the hungry guy wanting to feed his family- but who makes it possible and VERY inviting are the employers

There are more than one way for Mexico to pay... the easiest would be a check... but I doubt they will take the easy road... The liberals think they can fool people if it isn't a check... Mexico had all the time in the world to police that border, they didn't... this is their fault...

And we have had all the time in the world to enforce our laws. We didn't. It's our own fault.

This thread is about a border wall. Pointing out that we wouldn't need one if we simply and forcefully enforced our existing laws is not deflecting.

You pretending that it is, is the deflection.

Ironically, boondoggles like giant multi-billion dollar construction projects that don't solve the problems they are intended to are kind of a Democrat thing.

Just more proof that Trump and most of his followers are fake conservative.

The wall is just seriously dumb unless you like burning money and want to see illegal immigration largely continuing as normal.

The raids stopped under Obama. Since Trump took charge they are happening again and he's taking other steps to rid our country of illegal aliens.

Please educate yourself on this issue. Where the good walls are already in place it cut back on illegal immigration significantly. I have posted a couple of links numerous times proving it. How in the world is preventing them from getting here continuing as normal? I'd rather pay for a $25 billion wall than to continue with the rising costs of illegal immigration which is already $113 billion a year.

Congress already approved the wall back in 2006 it just wasn't funded so I guess they didn't think it was a boondoogle or they wouldn't have passed it in the first place.

So you guys keep saying. It does always seem a bit short on specifics. So, I have an idea, free of charge, because I'm nice. You're the party of fiscal responsibility, yes? How about you secure the funding from Mexico first and then build the wall?

Of course, if it should prove impossible to get Mexico to offer a flat peso - and it will, because you have been taken in by an incompetent, unrepentant serial liar - you don't get to take my money for the wall.

Seems - logical.
