Yes, and I believe some states, it is 15, but really, not much difference physically or mentally between a 14 and 16 yr old. To see the word 'child molestation' being thrown around when its a 14 or even 16 yr old is a slap in the face to real child molestation victims imo.

But when it comes to sex, girls, especially younger ones, see it as more of an emotional thing, versus a boy or man, where sex is purely a physical thing, no strings attached. This is why most men that were raped or molested by older women do not see it as a bad thing, some even consider it a great thing, or wished it happened to them.
The legal system cannot treat the two sexes in different ways though.

I am personally unaware of any context in the US today where it is acceptable for a 32 year old man to undress and touch a 14 year old. If this is something you defend, or perhaps even practice, that is a reflection of your character and not what is acceptable.
To be more specific, you think there is context that can justify a 32 year old attorney at the DA’s office in Alabama undressing and kissing a 14 year old high school student in the 1980s? Jim Zeigler, is that you?
