It won’t make a difference in Alabama. Child molestation is pretty much inconsequential around those parts.

I absolutely do, but there is so much history in our country that not everything can be taught. Every year there is something new. Colleges could teach 4 years of history and not even cover everything. So let's teach the important things. Do you think they should teach about Roy Moore and his rape allegations. Do you think history should teach of all allegations of elected officials. Of course not. That's not history.

Of course everything can be taught. It may take more than 4 years. But, teaching everything is not an impossibility, if it is impractical.

My point, however, was not really about the importance of history.

Rather, I was commenting on the erroneous opinion that the good people of Alabama are somehow unique in voting for a known criminal, especially when we do not know yet that the man is a criminal and or whether the people of Alabama will indeed elect him.

We do, however, know that the people of Massachusetts had no problem electing and re-electing the known criminal and murderer and womanizer, the "Lion of the Senate", Teddy Kennedy.

So, just maybe we can hold off on judging the good people of Alabama?

No one is judging the good people of Alabama, I have many relatives who live there. We are judging Moore and I believe women over him.

How many times did the fine people of Massachusetts elect that murderer Teddy Kennedy? And the Dems called Teddy the "Lion of the Senate".
how predictable with your banal "whataboutism" to deflect, deny and denigrate - as usual.

Nice try but ain't gonna work.

There's enough about Roy Moore to make him a very bad choice as a elected official even before this.

The bigotry, homophobia, willful disregard for the Constitution, and the sectarianism.

Well, the problem is that Alabama law stipulates that his name would stay on the ballot because it's inside of 74 days before the election.
