Bullet resistant backpack inserts available in South Florida school

What's next? Bullet-proof vests for concert-goers and church members?

Considering that an idiotic law prohibits having actual protection for our children in the form of armed teachers, at least someone is doing something.

Take down the “Gun Free Zone” signs and replace them with “Warning: For the protection of our students, the faculty at this school are armed.”

Its only going to get worse with them mass shootings so I really dont see any alternative. In the future how bullet resistant a piece of clothing, backpack, automobile etc is may be its most important feature.

Yes, let's turn this country into a police state. Because that makes so much more sense than dealing with the root cause of gun violence.

We are being held hostage in this country by the gun lovers.

Nope, terrible idea. Teachers get threatened by their own students. We're either going to have kids stealing teachers' guns, or teachers shooting their students.

And do you plan on giving all teachers semi-automatic rifles? Unlikely a teacher is going to stop a gunman before he kills lots of people.

The root cause of gun violence? Judging by the disparity in motives of shooters, there is no one "root cause." If you have some sort of insight into why people decide to commit atrocities, you may want to let the FBI or local police know. You could save a lot of lives.
