A Survivor’s Defense of Al Franken

Perhaps if she (Leeanne Tweeden) was, in fact, a survivor of sexual assault she would understand the damage that is being caused by her actions. But she is not a survivor. And she is definitely not a victim of Al Franken.

Leeanne was never raped. She was never assaulted. And she was never the victim of sexual violence or harassment. She was a willing and active participant in a comedy show that involved sexualized behaviors. She consented to participating. She actively engaged in and invited similar behaviors with other performers other than Al Franken at the event.

Could it be a case of double-standards at work? There's a flashback from 2011 where Al Franken once said then the resignation of Anthony Weiner was a "right thing to do". https://www.mediaite.com/columnists/...t-thing-to-do/

To be fair, we have no clue whether or not Franken did any of that. Trump, otoh, bragged about how he did it.

A Survivor’s Defense of Al Franken

1. sexual harassment is ANY type of unwanted remarks or gestures...ie catcalls, even provocative calendars hanging in your cubicle etc
2. Sexual assault is ANY type of unwanted TOUCHING

she and now FOUR OTHERS have come forward about the predator franken

so where do we go from here.....we are at a crossroads....

do we dismiss these women as liars, and tramps, like Hillary has done against every accuser of bill.......

or do we support women, and assume they must be truthful??? .......

either way, we as a public, are going to have to make an assumption one way or the other, but it cant be both ways.......

either these women are lying about franken...or he is just now being exposed......

so which is it...do we support the people like franken......or do we support women.....

Don't forget to add in the recent allegations against Bill...

Quote:
Bill Clinton is facing explosive new charges of sexual assault from four women, according to highly placed Democratic Party sources and an official who served in both the Clinton and Obama administrations.

The current accusations against the 71-year-old former president — whose past is littered with charges of sexual misconduct — stem from the period after he left the White House in 2001, say the sources.

Attorneys representing the women, who are coordinating their efforts, have notified Clinton they are preparing to file four separate lawsuits against him.
The new allegations refer to incidents that took place more than 10 years ago, in the early 2000s.

Clinton flew around the world with a flock of beautiful young women on a private jet, which was nicknamed 'Air F**k One.'

The four women, who have not yet revealed their identities, were in their late teens and claim they were sexually assaulted by the former president.
What's really interesting:
Quote:
She reportedly offered to hire private detectives to dig up dirt on the women, but Bill Clinton's attorneys persuaded her to not interfere.

'In the past Hillary had a team of detectives that managed to silence a number of women in Little Rock who had complaints about Bill's unwanted sexual advances,' said the source.

But now Hillary admits there's a different atmosphere in our culture about sexual harassment and it's not possible to intimidate women into silence about charges once they make up their mind to speak up.
