I have Netflix for $10 a month and only get content. Amazon Prime gives you a lot of streaming content plus free 2-day shipping. I think that's a good deal, as I order other things on Amazon as well.

Bezos is doing well because he figured all of this out. I think he's brilliant and deserves his success.
Online shopping can be indispensable for people who need to get any kind of specialty food for a pet.

I stopped shopping Amazon when they started collecting sales tax.

I went back to Ebay. Many of the same vendors as Amazon. And there are a couple of websites that I know of that are owned by WalMart, have better prices most of the time, and don't charge sales tax or shipping if over $35.

There's plenty of choice. I don't miss Amazon one bit.

I actually think us shopping Amazon so much is eventually going to kill a lot of jobs and lead to Amazon having a lot of power over the public with fewer jobs and lower wages and little competition.
Love buying things off Amazon, saves money and a lot of hassle. They have a huge selection, more than any store will ever have.

Walmart and Amazon can't simultaneously hold a monopoly, and Windows isn't even the most used operating system any more. Your own illustrations undo your argument.
Lol, Windows is by far the most popular operating system in the world.

So it is Amazon's fault that there is a bunch of trashy thieves around these places? That says more about the area than Amazon. My building has never had a package theft.

that is so true. I just bought a book (among other things) that I found on Amazon, but is being sold by a goodwill store. Actually, I've bought several books that goodwill has sold thru Amazon. Used, which benefits me and goodwill financially, along with keeping said books out of the landfill. Win-win!

Nope, Android is now the most popular OS. Oh so barely above, but it is. Android overtakes Windows for first time | StatCounter Global Stats

I've also found it indispensable for electronics--connectors adapters, etc.

I needed an adapter for an Apple Thunderbolt monitor to connect to a laptop and Amazon was the only site on the entire internet where I could find one.

then get your building to set up a delivery room for packages, and that way you dont have to see the packages stacking up in the building. perhaps you can even offer to run the effort.

hey, something else we agree on! amazon is great site to deal with. stuff you cant find elsewhere is usually available on amazon, and that my friend is always a good thing.

Nice! We just feed the wild birds in our backyard. (And, inevitably, a few squirrels and chipmunks.) We probably use Amazon more than we should, but I hate driving around NJ and everything is so far if we're in PA. Aside from a couple minor issues, I like Amazon music for my phone. My husband retro-fitted a Bluetooth behind the dash in our old Jeep, so I can connect despite having a non-smart car.

Those things are butt ugly, down with Amazon.
