So, the "MSM" (piquant acronym, that! As opposed to the secondary-stream media, SSM? Or the parallel-stream media, PSM? Maybe the alternative stream media, ASM?) is the greatest threat to modern America?

Greater than the two indomitable bogeymen, illegal aliens and "radical Islamic terrorism"?

Greater than the opioid crisis? The rise of the robots? Offshoring? Healthcare crisis?

Greater than the national debt? Greater than unfunded pension/entitlement liabilities?

Given the extent of "American carnage", I've lost track of how many pressing evils are besetting modern American society. So many crises! So many threats! And now we hear that the "MSM" is the greatest threat?

I'm not giving Trump partial credit for the healthy economy just because "he hasn't done something stupid to break everything yet like he promised."

Come on, man. If we're going to stoop that low to defend the indefensible orange clown in the white house, you may as well give credit for the economy to Obama and almost every single American in the nation, since most of them haven't succeeded in doing anything stupid yet to break the economy, either.

Lol. No. The economy crashed in the fall of 2008. Bush was still the president then, and it crashed because of 6+ years of right-wing stooges allowing the temporarily juiced economy to run out of control since their corporate masters were getting rich off of it. Now, realistically, I doubt the Democrats would have done much better - both parties are sold out to corporate interests, but the right is more brazen about it and serves up their corporate agenda with a huge side-helping of bigotry.

Sorry, right-wingers, but the fall of 2008 is still before January 2009 in the real world.

Imagine the number of lawsuits ABC will face due to false reporting on Flynn....(caused stock market to fall 350 points)

Please, stop the melodrama! The market fell a fraction of 1%, something it can do on any given day for no identifiable reason at all.

Last I checked, October of 2008 was still before January of 2009.

It's sad that I've joked about this attempt to blame the crash of 2008 on Obama before on this forum, and now we have an example of somebody actually doing that, lol.

The change happened when the 'press' was all owned by 6 private corporations, in other words, they literally control what is news and what is not.
Wanta shut them down?

Every person who believes the media has their own agenda should stop shopping.

Don't buy anything advertised anywhere.

It is only because he ran as a Republican that we now have millions of partisan suckers supporting this brain-dead clod who, 2 years ago, they wouldn't have entrusted with their retirement fund, house for a weekend, or daughter for one night.

Trump is a loud-mouthed stooge. If we can sue people for lowering the market, can we sue him when his disastrous policies topple the economy?
