The Tweet used the term "pled guilty". Apparently that's not a proper legal term. No attorney would use that term. The correct term is "pleaded guilty". An attorney knows the difference; Trump doesn't.
LOL. That is laughably wrong. There is no difference in meaning, and lawyers actually seem to prefer "pled" by a small margin, even if garammar nazis say they're wrong.
Among lawyers, it's about a 50-45 split between those who use "pled", and those who use "pleaded". The rest of them try to use "pled" but don't know how to spell it, so they they use "plead" as the past tense of "plead" in the same way that "read" is the paste tense of "read".
Eugen Volokh did some research for use of the two terms in legal documents. He searched the ALLCASES database in Westlawand found 5017 instances of "pleaded" and 5573 instances of "pled".
Take a deep breath--it would appear that this is just a case of a poorly worded statement, which is not unusual for President Trump. He was not elected for his perfect elocution.
Flynn was fired in Feb, less than 1 month into the new admin. We do not know the date(s) when he was interviewed by the FBI, but it seems likely that it was after he was fired. Even if it was before, it is not likely that Trump would have known about it. After Flynn left the admin, Sean Spicer said that it was due to an erosion of trust, not because laws were broken.
What Trump should have said was something like "I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President, and now he has pled guilty to lying to the FBI.
Trump didn’t need to say jack. He fired Comey in February. We ALREADY know that. WHY bring it up again? Why would a lawyer write that?

can you imagine if Trump puts a personal server in his Trump Tower and mishandles top classified information and destroys over 30,000 emails when he gets a subpoena and lies to the FBI and the public about it, how long would it take for the Democrats and the MSM demand his impeachment?
Hillary and Bill have been in government for decades, Trump has been in government for less than 1 year.....is not even close the level of corruption.

If Trump was smart he would stop tweeting completely. Even if you are completely innocent you DO NOT talk about an investigation during the investigation.
That's standard interrogation technique. As long as the perp is talking, let him talk. Half of the criminals in prison are there because they couldn't keep their mouths shut, and the other half are there because their buddies couldn't keep their mouths shut.
