What lawyer would write such, admitting that his client is guilty?
Notwithstanding the fact that the excuse is not believable, Mueller and his team will get to the truth during evidence gathering and depositions. Unlike excuses, things like sworn testimony, GPS data, electronic signatures on tweets, and witnesses have real meaning and consequences.
If the attorney DID NOT author the tweet: the media needs to bring this claim up again and question why Trump would allow his attorney to make these false statements to the public.
If the attorney DID author the tweet: once again, Trump really shows a pattern of “hiring the best”.
Either way, that tweet just added to the president’s legal exposure and placed a giant question mark over the firing of Comey. And neither explanation of the tweet’s origin looks very good for the president. Not at all.
The truth is that a tweet from Trump’s account claims he had knowledge of Flynn’s false statements to the FBI as early as the time of Flynn’s dismissal in Feb. The question remaining is which idiot with the intellect of a peanut authored this tweet and which idiot with an even lesser intellect, if different from the author, allowed the tweet to be tweeted. Hope this helps.
Have you been following what Trump's lawyers have been up to?
One got into an argument with himself on TV over whether Trump was under investigation.
One has already had ethics charges filed for telling those working in the Trump administration that they didn't need to retain their own attorneys.
Two discussed legal strategy in a restaurant adjoining a major new outlet's DC offices. It was overheard by reporters. Surprise. Surprise.
Trump lawyers are already "behaving so outside of what a lawyer in his position would do" that it is easy to imagine that Dowd took the blame in order to take the heat off Trump.
President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, John Dowd, confirmed to CNN on Sunday that he wrote a tweet for the @realDonaldTrump Twitter account about the firing of former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.
If the tweet is untrue, why hasn’t Trump tweeted a correction?
If the tweet is untrue, why hasn’t Trump tweeted a correction?
If Trump was smart he would stop tweeting completely. Even if you are completely innocent you DO NOT talk about an investigation during the investigation.
the investigation is still in progress. we will find out at the end.
So in other words, you have absolutely no argument at all.
