Excellent, factual analysis. Understanding of geography, (proximity), population distributions and the actual service availability is the antithesis of a lie. Thanks.

66.Perry County - 9,574 67%
67.Greene County - 8,422 80%

Montgomery Co. and Dallas Co. will keep their DMV offices.

That leaves...

50.Macon County - 18,963 81%
54.Hale County - 14,952 57%
59.Sumter County - 13,040 73%

65.Lowndes County - 10,358 73%
66.Perry County - 9,574 67%
67.Greene County - 8,422 80%

The last four are no-brainers based on the sparse population.

Closing Hale Co. is whiter than staying open Dallas Co.

That leaves Sumter and Wilcox Cos.

If you are in Sumter Co. you go to Meridian, AL or Greensborough, AL.

Both cities have a DMV.

Wilcox Co. is literally surrounded by DMVs.

It would be ridiculous to put another one in the center.

Here are the choices. Higher taxes for all Alabama citizens to provide this service to a relatively dispersed population, tax increase specific to these counties/areas to support the higher service level, (prolly would not pass a court test), a circuit type system that would be required to be administered separatively from the AL DMV as a whole, or fiscally responsible management, (supply and demand). Electronic solution probably not a viable option. There may be other solutions. Feel free to offer them

The distance between Greenboro,Al and most of the population of Sumter county is a 100 mile round trip.

You dont understand why you need a closer DMV ?

Good question. Buuuuuut. I do believe in Voter ID. I also believe it should be very easy to acquire this ID at a small or no cost. AL is going the wrong way on this.

So a sign of solid fiscal good health is lots of DMV offices?

The only problem is that this is the same state that mandated an ID for voting. Basically, it is only a matter of time before the DOJ puts the royal smackdown on AL. And here I thought it was those stinky blue states like Commiefornia and NY that were bad at finances....
There is a method to their madness.

Anything that AL.com puts out is just another lie from a liberal newspaper.
