Everything seems to be BOMBSHELL NEWS when it comes to Trump

All this nonsense is going to amount to nothing, and Trump will still be your President after all is said and done, OP.

Nope! Trump's foreign policy advisor bragging to the Australian ambassador that the Russian had dirt on HRC and will be helping them with that info is the reason the FBI launched the investigation.

I recall reading once that it was unusual traffic between the Trump tower server and the Russian bank server that came to the attention of the FBI and was behind the initial FISA warrants.

The problem with the story is that the FBI didn't interview Papadopoulos until February 2017, six months after the investigation started.

If they were supposedly starting an investigation because of something Papadopoulos allegedly said, they surely would have interviewed Papadopoulos much sooner.

Should we send trump supporters back to school for some reading classes? Where did you get your degree man, trump university?

The dossier is not fake by the way, your trump associates corroborated a lot out of it already:

Carter Page congressional testimony corroborates Steele dossier parts - Business Insider

A lot of the Steele dossier has since been corroborated.

But that doesnt even matter to the lame argument from trump shills trying to somehow say that having dossier as a basis for investigation is discrediting it.

Australian intelligence shared with the US was used to start the FBI investigation. Got it now?

The question is: are trump defenders truly ignorant, or just wilfully ignorant? And what's worse?
So basically you are admitting that a foreign country attempted to influence our election, only it was Australia all along, not Russia? Why is it OK for Australia to try and influence our election? You should be outraged! I wonder if the Obama administration had contacts with Australians. We need to start another special counsel investigation to find out.

This NYT story is just SO lame. But it's red meat for libs and they're desperate for a distraction.

Byron York makes some interesting points on Twitter -

(1) If Papadopoulos actions drove FBI probe, why wait til nearly Feb 2017 to interview him? If done to keep probe quiet before election, why wait more than two months after vote?

(2) When did officials brief Congress about Papadopoulos? They briefed Congress about Carter Page in late summer 2016.

(3) Did officials seek a surveillance warrant on Papadopoulos? They reportedly got one on Carter Page in summer 2016. Did they try to get one on Papadopoulos? If not, why not?

It doesn't take much scrutiny before this story starts falling apart

How does Australia reporting questionable illegal activities to the FBI become "attempt to influence the election"?

Listen dude, all that noise about NYT being fake news, but so far on trump-russia they have been on point what's been proven with indictments and plea deals.

And we are not even 1/3 through the investigation, kinds of which last usually 18-24 months at least.

And yes, Australians confirmed that. FBI didnt even have the Steel dossier available in July 2016.

Trump ppl are so dense, its almost painful.
"And WE are not even 1/3 through the investigation," Are you directly part of it? Your verbiage sort of gives a clue to your bias. I learned a long time ago people see what they want to see and try to connect the dots. I have no love for Trump but seems to me we should just let it play out before condemning someone!

If you think that's the case, contact your elected officials and urge them to do just that.
