Another disappointing jobs report. Well below the average from past years.

http://www.businessinsider.com/us-jo...er-2017-2018-1

The US economy added 148,000 jobs in December, fewer than expected, according to a report Friday from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The US economy created 148,000 jobs in December, fewer than economists had forecast.
The retail sector lost the most jobs amid a wave of store closures.
Still, December was the 87th straight month that employers hired more people than they fired, extending the longest-ever stretch of job growth on record.

The link was still very positive to the Trump admin. But yeah, December was not a good month for adding jobs it seems. Average is still good.

Don't worry o.p., the phony recovery is likely to end during Trumps reign and you can rejoice ( albeit for the wrong reasons)

From your link:

"But the consistency of job growth in this cycle is pretty incredible."

That cycle began in 2009.

It certainly is trending downward from 2016...but adding is better than a negative!

I'd say things are getting better and better in the economy. why the negative emphasis? shouldn't americans applaud this good news?

I’d say that 148k new jobs in one month is good news, regardless of who is in office. Granted, most of those new jobs are probably low-wage crap jobs, but it’s better than nothing.

The "cycle" he is referring to started in 2009, and based on the numbers, it is slowing down.
