Caveat: I have a lot of legit issues with Trump...his vindictiveness with states that didn't vote for him, his inability to accept criticism, his crony family and cabinet picks, Twitter feuds, lack of diplomacy, etc., etc.

But this story in particular is so overblown. He said it in a closed door meeting, not in an official statement or otherwise publicly. I'm sure lawmakers, including past presidents, say all kinds of **** in closed-door negotiation sessions. But normally it wouldn't leak to the press because it's just part of the sausage being made. However, Trump is in a unique situation where he has no real allies in DC...his aides probably walk on egg shells and leak like a sieve to get back at him, Democrats want to tar & feather him rather than make a mutually beneficial deal, and Repblicans will throw him under the bus without a second thought. Then the media will predictably flip out at any little nugget that comes their way.

I'd almost feel a little bad for Trump, if this wasn't a self-inflicted wound. All the Twitter feuds, the fights with the media, the way he manages his staff, etc. He hasn't done anything to earn the benefit of the doubt. I expect another drama-filled few years and if he isn't re-elected it's going to be more on voter burn-out from his style, rather than substance.

What makes a nation third world?
Despite everevolving definitions, the concept of the third world serves to identify countries that suffer from high infant mortality, low economic development, high levels of poverty, low utilization of natural resources, and heavy dependence on industrialized nations. These are the developing and technologically less advanced nations of Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Latin America. Third world nations tend to have economies dependent on the developed countries and are generally characterized as poor with unstable governments and having high rates of population growth, illiteracy, and disease. A key factor is the lack of a middle class — with impoverished millions in a vast lower economic class and a very small elite upper class controlling the country's wealth and resources. Most third world nations also have a very large foreign debt.
(What makes a nation third world? from Encyclopedia of World Geography)

Hmmmm....doesn't say anything about race.

Did Trump say he didn't want POC from Europe?

No?

Your race card is overdrawn.

Haha, and the guy actually said "I used to live in Prince George's County!," as if that works for his argument, instead of against it. Good stuff, man, good stuff.

It's easy to virtue signal that you're not racist when you live in a homogeneous area and have never had to deal with some of the negative effects of engineered diversity for diversity's sake.

A Liberal is just a Conservative that's never been mugged.....

And they are still buying their power through welfare.
Let there be no mistake about Welfare recipients. The overwhelming majority are poor whites and always have been since its inception.

When blacks were released from the bondage of slavery, they knew nothing but agricultural skills and fear of their captors. They knew one thing for certain, they had to escape the immediate threat of murder, physical abuse, and incarceration. They therefore fled the South to the North where there was no great demand for Negro agricultural skills. They had no acceptable cultural efficacies that would be socially palatable. They therfore, had to practice how not to behave in any socially offensive manner.

Many blacks did not survive the transition. Those who did, suffered many indignities and hardships.
When blacks were finally given the federal right to vote, it grossly improved their overall bargaining power. LBJ was indeed yet another racist president, but he improved the future prospects of blacks. That's whether his intentions were altruistic or not.

But is it in America's interest to allow companies to put Americans on welfare so they use food stamps and Medicaid, because they don't want to pay living wages and instead wish to pay executives multi-million dollar salaries with bonuses? Also said millionaires then try and say "education is bad" and do little to help it because their kids are sent to private schools and in some states get it for free due to the voucher system.

Most modern president treat bipartisan meetings as though they were on camera. They don't make statements like that only amongst their most trusted aides, etc. Certainly not in front of representatives of the other party.

Once again, Trump's problems are all of his own making. No one wants their president referring to other countries as chitholes. It's just not a good diplomatic look.

And, once again, it exposes Trump's inherent racism which is the real problem.

The truth is that the south was home for the blacks and they felt very comfortable there. Your history is reporting on a very select few and of course making it the norm for all. The truth is that most southern blacks families have lived there since before the Civil War so guess that shoots your ridiculous narrative all to heck.

The white folks were not the monsters you think they were. They were just people living in the reality they were born to.

The truth is that blacks and whites lived like families, unfair but still family. They didn't go anywhere after the war. They still talked to each other and still worked together and got along in the way families do.

Segregation, Jim Crow...you can thank your Democrats for that. The Republicans fought the war to free them. The Democrats oppressed them for another 100 years.

Indeed--the elitist liberals were happy as pigs in slop for the 8 years of Obummer trashing America. And now they are suddenly proud of the USA?

The fact of life is that a black person is far more liked to be murdered by another black person.

So who's the real evil here? Certainly not some white dudes.
