Airbnb has launched a $100,000 digital ad campaign — promoting listings in places that President Trump reportedly referred to as “****holes.”
The vacation-rental company says it will try to use the cash to boost tourism in Haiti, El Salvador and countries in Africa that Trump was said to have badmouthed during an Oval Office meeting on immigration last week, according to Fortune.
They hope that the ads will “encourage more travelers to visit these special and beautiful places” — as part of “our mission to create a world where anyone can belong anywhere.”
Airbnb’s social media team began tweeting about the destinations over the weekend, along with Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky.
“We heard there’s been some expletive-filled interest in Haiti recently,” the company wrote on its Twitter page. “Which reminded us to revisit just how beautiful this country is. And the only thing more inspiring than the land? Its people.”
And why do we have to take refugees from these "special and beautiful places"? Why would they want to leave all of that beauty?
Good point .
Sometimes in L.A you'll see people with a i love X Country on their car . El Salvador , etc .
Kind of makes you wonder . If they love it so much why did they decide to leave the country . Leaving a country is a pretty strong statement one would think .

no, there are some beautiful places in africa... they aren't anywhere that people live though so how is Airbnb going to provide me housing out on the safari?
can I get a night at the "under the stars" room for 2 please? I'll take a selfie picture with the elephants too if it is provided as room service
If you choose to see only the poverty, that's all you'll see.
most of those are uninhabited areas... where do you find an AirBnb?
