Penal Law 255.17 states that a person is guilty of adultery when he/she engages in sexual intercourse with another person at a time when he/she has a living spouse. Adultery is classified as a Class B misdemeanor.
Wonder how that applies when a New York resident commits the offense in Nevada?
i just saw a clip of avenatti claiming that team trump has fallen into every single trap he's set over the past two weeks. don't know if that's actually true or avenatti just trying to get a response out of team trump. we shall see.

Either way it's a win. If Trump and team have fallen into every trap (and I believe that's likely) then hearing this is going to infuriate Trump. And if it's not true, hearing him make this claim is going to infuriate Trump.
I'd count this as a win/win. Avenatti really knows how to play Trump's media game.
Trump really only has himself to blame for the porn star fiasco. It’s in his DNA to pick a fight with anyone he perceives to be a threat. He literally does not know how to pick his battles. Not sure how well this behavior worked for him in his previous private life, but it certainly doesn’t work in public life.
My cousin lives in WI and the women in her book club are fairly middle of the road people politically. A little over half of them voted for Trump in 2016, but most of them no longer see him in the same light. Many of them complain that Trump brought about a lot of trouble he is currently facing, and they fault him for dragging it out. People know he’s a cheater, people know he did unsavory things with porn stars/actresses/even prostitutes. They just want him to admit it and move on. They wanted an outsider to fix a dysfunctional DC, not a crazy lecher who will amplify the dysfunction and bring it to the executive branch.

I can't tell you how many Trump supporters I've heard say, "If only he would stop with the crazy tweets," as if otherwise it's all good times and noodle salad.

It applies. I listen to a law podcast that laid this out with examples. The problem for Trump is that he is a NY resident, and the atty etc for all of this are based in NY.
Now, no one is going to charge him. We know this. BUT....they could absolutely use this to get rid of his NDA with Stormy.
Adultery isn't illegal, but the FEC violation certainly is.
The idea that this contract was not with Trump or Cohen but with the shell corporation that Cohen whipped up is unlikely to go too far.
Nor is this convoluted story about Trump being the third party beneficiary and having to meet certain conditions in an agreement he had no knowledge is silly on the face of it. It is unlikely to withstand any real legal scrutiny.
Someone else gave you the adultery actually being illegal with a citation (surprised me as well when I learned it). But the bigger issue is the FEC violations-as you indicated.
And the idea that Trump is a third party beneficiary has some issues for Cohen involving acting on behalf of a client without their consent. When people have talked about Cohen being screwed by Trump, this made it very clear just how badly. I will be amazed if Cohen walks away without being disbarred. I just dont see how he makes it to the other side of this without going before the bar for a hearing no matter what made up story they settle on as being their "truth" when they hit court.
There is only one way this ends well for Trump or Cohen. And its with enough money to make Stormy Daniels go away. And thats going to be a LOT of money. Even then.....
Go figure that Trump can't even find the hot porn stars to cheat with his wife on. Has to go for the washed up one with the tacky fake****.
Oh, I thought those were real. I need more pictures to make a definitive diagnosis. But either way, she is a washed up has-been who is going to go broke, paying for the lawsuit filed against her.

That's odd. I know MANY Trump voters who still think he is GREAT! I know of not one single person (personally) who voted for him, that has regretted doing so....

Stormy already crowd sourced $280k in 1 week to help with her lawsuit related expenses. After the 60 minutes interview, she'll likely get a massive surge of donations. I bet she writes a book or sells rights to a movie and makes millions.
