At least with a President Stormy, there wouldn't be any sex scandals (except with the crew filming in the oval office).

But to be fair, those of us who voted for Trump didn't hiccup with the Stormy Daniels thing. We don't care. We knew what Trump was about.

Of course. The American people voted for Trump knowing he was a grifter. They thought he would shake up the system, and that's all that concerned them.

Trump will bob and weave, and may even win again next time. That's how desperate the American people are. No faith left in politicians.

There would be no conflict about her morals, in filling that position. Trump has already lowered the bar so far, as to give her a pass on that.

the actual affair, while comical, is not the focus of this thread. the fast majority of the discussion is about the probability of campaign finance violation and money-laundering surrounding the incompetent attempt of cohen and/or trump to cover-up the affair.

that would make the second time an unqualified reality TV star became POTUS.

Giuliani says that if it was necessary, Cohen would probably have paid off other women to keep quiet about what they did with Trump, as was done with Stormy Daniels. Is Giuliani supposed to be working on Trump's behalf? Every time he opens his mouth lately, he's making things worse for him. But I'm not complaining. If Giuliani wants to kick Trump's house of cards apart, from the inside, that would be very pleasing. Giuliani is the gift to all of us straight-thinkers, who just keeps on giving.

But isn't this something, that a sitting president needs to have a lawyer whose main job is to silence women with whom he's had sordid involvements, with big chunks of money? Apparently, there's a large slush-fund for this purpose that the lawyer manages, so Trump doesn't have to be bothered by these annoying women, who he's left scattered all over the landscape. It's just calculated into the budget, as part of the cost of being Trump.

i get your joke but..... i actually think putting daniels, or another business savvy porn star, on "celebrity apprentice" would have been a brilliant move. i think it would have stirred just the right amount of scandal to give a nice ratings boost plus probably burst a lot of peoples preconceptions of a porn star.

it's the one time in this fiasco that i think trump did something right.

steve bannon joked there were "a hundred" such pay-offs during the campaign and michael avenatti, daniels lawyer, has stated he knows of 8 more.

Unlike the MeToo women this was between consenting adults. Stormy has asserted that she was not coerced in any way.

The problem with Trump's behavior is that he attempts to hide it and that exposes him to being compromised by a foreign power or others who are seeking leverage. The hiding behavior involves payoffs and threats of defamation suits (which have never been filed).
Good point. I agree that Stormy Daniels should be charged with blackmail and/or extortion.
