Now, Trump has never before been invited to Davos before. That, of course, is a perfect indication that he was generally regarded as an incompetent businessman, not a success, not a major player, certainly not in the forefront of anything.
Macron apparently called to coax Trump to come. I'm wondering - do you think Macron is secretly hoping that Trump will embarrass himself on a very public stage?
Melania wisely refused to accompany him. That was a smart move. The people there would no doubt make her even more conscious of her ignorance.
Yes of course Macron is, at this very moment ,enjoying how the 'world' is laughing and mocking trump on his first day at Davos.

I agree with Kracer; you can absolutely bank on this! And Macron doesn't have to "secretly hope." 45 falling on his face on this world stage is an inevitability.

Everybody knows he doesn't just have the one endeavor -- where have you been? LOL.
A generally incompetent business man OR someone that is worth 4 billion dollars, reshaped skylines worldwide, Graduated from wharton, owns 500 companies, dominated television, became President of the United States; most successful person to ever exist?
A man who stepped out of the comfortable and organized lifestyle that he was leading, and ran for the presidency despite the disdain of all Democrats, most Republicans and most of the media. A man who took no vote for granted and who worked his ass off day and night for well over a year, campaigning across the country non-stop. A man who successfully lived through the meat grinder of unrelenting scrutiny. A man who clearly understood the mood of the country, who had a consistent message that resonated and who spoke the same language as tens of millions of Americans. A man who beat the odds and beat out the expectations of almost EVERYONE across the country and across the world who was following American politics. What he did was nothing short of extraordinary.
This is never talked about, I predict it will be with time.

Macron is a smart guy and is/has developed a good relationship with Trump. The Brits probably would be well advised to watch and learn.
Right around the time Obama was saying this, I was on my hands and knees scrubbing oil stains off a concrete floor while trying to clean up a piece of crap building so I could renovate and open a new small business.
