After a year of:

insulting more than half the country
going on endless bragging tours
calling white supremacists "good people"
excluding Democrats in the design of health care bills and tax bills,
refusing to even let Democrats read a 400+ page bill filled with scribbles before holding the vote,
weaponizing a tax bill to try to force blue states and colleges to hand their money over to red states,
trying to destroy the constitution by attacking the free press,
attacking our allies, the FBI, the Justice Department, DACA children, legal immigrants from third world countries as well as the countries themselves,

Trump wants to "do bipartisan" at the SOTU.

As if everyone is supposed to forget who Trump is after a year of his narcissistic behavior, childish insults, pushing aside leaders to put himself at the front of a photo and shoving cheeseburgers in his mouth while tweeting Fox news stories as if they were his own original thoughts.

Hopefully someone will stand up and scream "you lie!" while he speaks.

A politician has the right to criticize the free press the fourth estate is not immune from criticism. Thank God the Citizens United decision put a damper on the greatest attack on the First since the Alien and Sedition Acts.

That is usually the goal of any president giving the SOTU.

I'm told he was advised to go "bipartisan" because his support outside his base is extremely shaky and they are trying to improve those numbers. So, yeah, he'll be paying "lip service."

I'm more of a person who watches actions, not words.

I'll be skipping the SOTU address. I think I need to watch my paint dry.

A far more wise investment of time.

Trump and the GOP have spent so much time making enemies so motivated they would crawl through broken glass to vote against them, there's absolutely nothing Trump can say that will reduce the revulsion.

Trump's Gonna Pretend Bipartisan

Too late, we are on to him now. He has had plenty of chances to do that before.

Exactly and that's why I want to call it out ahead of time. I've seen multiple articles now outlining his upcoming speech and how he wants to say "bipartisan" like it's some magic word that will make the majority of the country be less repulsed. It's not and it won't.
