I hope they charge the cop and prosecute him but they probably won't.
Sweet. You can't even see what happened once they went past the doorway but you're going to give us a play by play description using the powers of your X-ray vision. As a retired cop if someone was able to get my baton away and hit me in the head I'd shoot them too.

The "videographer" cousin's Facebook pages are all open as is the mom's, so I've been reading the exchanges.

Just prior to the incident (literally an hour before) he was sentenced for six months in prison for a violent physical assault on his mom (the lady in the grey track pants in the video) and some other mayhem like destroying her apartment, her car, etc. He has serious drug problems and was or is going to go into a foster home or group home of some kind.

He was a young offender (17) when he committed these offences last year, but has since turned 18.

His cousin who shot the video went a bit crazy on Facebook, and took a screen shot from his video where you can see the special constable's face. He put out a call to everyone to try and find his name so that we can make sure that "he gets shot too". A lot of people posted that he should calm down and take down the post but at last check he hasn't.

The social media on this has been quite crazy - though this is the craziest example.

I hope the injured constable has a full recovery in short time.

I'm not going to get into a debate about whether or not deadly force was justified, but there was definitely more going on here than, "I'd like a cigarette - BANG!"

I really hate these misleading thread titles.

I believe he's been released from hospital already. Obviously he's going to need some therapy as well after this.

Why would a decent person care about violent punk who got shot? He got almost what he deserved, and it's a pity that he is not dead.

It's a cowardly move. They are in close quarters. If he cannot defend himself when he has help in close quarters and decides to shoot when the situation is not life threatening and innocents are around, he himslef belongs in jail. He shouldn't be a cop and you shouldn't have been one either. Disgusting that you think it's okay to shoot in that situation when no ones life was threatened.

Multiple people there, one leaves, another stands around. What a bunch of cowardly sleazeballs.

How can you so safely say that no one's life was threatened? The kid was out of control in close quarters with the constable. He got a hold of his baton - he just as easily could have gotten a hold of his gun and started shooting people.
