Having trouble keeping track of the timeline for the events surrounding the DOJ investigation? I found this one (from the Washington Post, so I fully recognize it will be immediately dismissed by some) helpful:
Late 2015 - "Britain’s spy agency GCHQ becomes aware of suspicious “interactions” between members of Trump’s campaign and Russian intelligence operatives. Over the next six months, a number of western agencies from Germany, Estonia and Poland share more information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians."
January 2016 - Carter Page joins Trump's foreign policy advisory group.
March 2016 - In a WaPo interview, Trump identifies Page and Papadopoulos as two of his foreign policy advisers.
May 2016 - Papadopoulos gets drunk at a London bar and brags to "Alexander Downer, Australia’s top diplomat in Britain, that the Russians have "dirt" on Clinton and plan to use it to help elect Trump.
"Downer reported that jaw-dropping conversation to Australian intelligence, which shared it with American spy-partners. Action followed."
As Nunes' memo states, “The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016."
Anyway, back to the timeline.
May 2016 - Putin makes his first visit to Greece. Papadopoulos is already there, “quietly holding meetings across town and confiding in hushed tones that he was there on a sensitive mission on behalf of his boss, Donald Trump.”
June 2016 "At a closed-door gathering of high-powered foreign policy experts visiting with the prime minister of India, Trump adviser Carter Page hails Vladimir Putin as stronger and more reliable than President Obama and touts the positive effect that a Trump presidency would have on US-Russia relations."
Meanwhile, Russian hacked emails have been leaked. Lots of interactions between various Trump campaign people with various Russians. ...
Oct. 2016 - FISA warrant documents for surveillance on Page include Papadopoulos' sharing of info with Downer in the bar, as well as 39 other pieces of evidence.

I am still reading through the timeline and I have to say it is pretty eye opening. You have to believe Trump would have somebody in his circle that would tell him there is proof he has met and knows Sater.
A Timeline Of The FBI And DOJ's Involvement In Hillary's Emails And The Trump Dossier
From Forbes Magazine and it's ugly. You begin to realize the Democrats are desperately trying to protect Obama who is up to his neck in this massive scandal.
"As 2015 unfolds, it becomes clear to the FBI and the DOJ that President Barack Obama was communicating with Hillary using her non-state department email. Obama was using an email and a name that masked who he was.
That had to be known to authorities long before March of 2015 given that it occurred prior to 2013.
As Andrew McCarthy points out in his recent article, there was no chance that the DOJ was going to indict Hillary because that would have required implicating President Obama. That was never going to happen. From thereafter, DOJ officials acted with that understanding, however illegal, in mind."

Thanks for timeline.
I was looking for date when DNC took over funding of dossier.
That date according to link is April 2016.
The relevance is Page's trip to Moscow was July 2016. Therefore, the most damning information against Page within the dossier came after the DNC took over funding.

That's the anchor to this whole scandal and that's the main thing to keep in mind...all this was about protecting Obama.
Like you libs keep chanting, it's not the crime...it's the cover up.
What in the world is "wrong" with that? That he talked to her? Clearly not, for she was a probable successor to his Presidency and a former associate.
Is there some mandate that every Presidential conversation need to be recorded? If so, Trump with his nightly bedside chats is toast.
That he masked his name on a non-official channel? Makes sense, I would say. Heck, her own daughter was "Diane" when discussing wedding plans. NOW if Hillary didn't know who he was THAT might be creepy. (Joke, there.)
(The Forbes link continued with more of the same type of non sequiturs.)
Russian collusion may well turn out to be blowing up events that turn out to be insignificant.
But trying to counter it by doing more of the same doesn't lead to productive discussions.

The Obama administration was notorious for using fake email identities, so it's no surprise Obama or Hillary had one. The problem is there are laws requiring that most federal records be preserved. From your comments I appreciate you either don't know or don't care...but it is an issue that others take seriously.
I assume you know what a non sequitur is...for those unsure it means "a conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement". And that's interesting because I've found when it comes to Democrats and Trump only selective facts seem to matter, especially made up "facts" like the Russian fairy tale and the Hillary/GPS Fusion generated dossier used by the FBI to generate a FISA request to spy on the Trump campaign.
Come hell or high water Democrats have made up their minds and there is no changing them. Obama could be led off in handcuffs and they'll still be blaming Trump.
