You do know Trump owes the US government for the costs of this and other trips when he turns these events into campaign rallies with statements likes these.
And by the way, the Constitution has a pretty narrow definition of treason, and it doesn't include not clapping and cheering for every inane comment he makes. So to answer his question, no he can't call not standing during his SOTU speech treason, the Constitution says why not.
trump was joking about treason, ya twits. the left has no sense of humor and the right defends trump's obviously stupid joke as a real comment. sigh.
The country is very divided right now, and if Trump really understands the political climate as well as his supporters claim he does, he would know that plenty of people on both ends of the spectrum would take his comments seriously. If, that is, it really was a joke, something of which I am not entirely convinced.
