Purely subjective speculation, and impossible to prove.

I inclined to agree.

They learned absolutely nothing from the election.

Trump missed an opportunity better than a military parade! He should have been behind the wheel of that red Tesla that was shot into space. He could wave to all the aliens (good, law-abiding, legal ones - of course!) and wouldn't have to worry about his hair being blown about, since space is a vacuum! Being that he has nothing upstairs, his cranium and outer space would be in equibrium! The world would rejoice without him!

You want to give Trump all that and you will settle for two layers of bubble wrap.

That is generous but a parade might be cheaper.

Since this is simply another divisive trumper issue, let's instead have an event that we can all agree on:

The Trillion Dollar Deficit Parade

The soldier on patrol in the field ain't even going to think about giving a damn about whether you stand for a song at a football game, but he or she will carry that letter around til the ink wears off. And that's a fact.
If the soldiers finds that the writer of such a letter is taking a knee during the N.A. they would use that letter for toilet paper first chance they get and regret they can't mail it back.

The bubble wrap is worth more than Trump is!

You all do what you want, but if you really want to support the military, get involved, and meet their individual needs. They love letters from home. Standing along a parade route makes you feel good, but does absolutely nothing whatsoever for those soldiers far from home who don't even see it or know it happened.

I was running missions in Cambodia daily and receiving news papers from the states with headlines saying we weren't in Cambodia. I'll never forget that, we laughed our butts off. They didn't call Nixon "Tricky Dick" without a reason.
You don't know what you are talking about if you think people are serving all around the world and don't know what is happening at home.

Appears to be from someone who never served in the military. From someone who has never been away from home. From someone who has never been in a war.

Gotta love the armchair soldiers.
