And republicans scream about biased media. Drain the swamp indeed.

I'm no fan of Ajit Pai, but the below puts this into perspective.

Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Rep. Elijah E. Cummings’ (D-MD) requested the investigation

Indeed. It's nothing but Democrat politics.

Democrats are calling for the investigation because they don't want to see the very right-leaning Sinclair Broadcast Group own more stations.

And yet the DOJ is files an anti-trust suit against ATT-Time Warner and that is not political correct?

Large, right-wing corporations own all the broadcast TV stations in my city. They are gradually and very subtlety, beginning to run short "news" bits on their local news programs, that come from national sources and present a conservative view. I expect that this will increase, without governmental control over how many stations these companies can own, in any one market. We really are heading for an era of fake news, if this is not stopped.

I've heard about this as well. That's why it's more important than ever to get news from multiple sources. Until the Dems are back in power, Repugs will tolerate and even allow such right-wing propaganda news outlets to proliferate. Unfortunately, most Americans who only listen to one or two sources of right-wing news are just easy prey to such propaganda.
