The problem is, many people think it is in very bad taste to promote AR-15s, since AR-15s are the undisputed weapon of choice for mass killers, including the mass killing that took place in Florida this week.

The truly sad state of affairs is we are focusing on the tool that a person used to commit mass murder rather than focusing on the nut case and why he committed such a heinous act in the first place.

Those that oppose it and have this virtuous enlightening, were never voting for this guy to begin with.

What about all these terrorist attacks in which a truck was used to kill a bunch of people. Were people claiming it was bad taste for truck dealerships to remain open that day? Sorry, but people aren't going to pointlessly change their plans because of your feelings.

It is good and right that a prick from Kansas should see fit to auction off one such weapon for the purpose of drawing attention to himself as a means of trying to win an election. I will not be voting for this clown, but I am in a minority here.
personally if i were to go shoot up a place with as many people as possible i wouldnt use an AR15, i would prefer the AK47 instead. larger round for better hitting power, and a more reliable weapon as well.

that said, if this guy follows sate and federal guns laws when giving the firearm away, what does it matter? or do you think he should either cancel the drawing altogether, that way you can excoriate him for going back on his word, or change the rifle he gives away, again so you can excoriate him for going back on his word.

either way you are going to excoriate him anyway, and even if you lived in kansas you wouldnt be voting for him anyway, so why should you even bother caring?

No it isn’t.

Good, an AR is just another rifle. It just looks more scary. It isn't an automatic. It isn't an assault weapon. Personally I'm glad to see candidates standing up to this PC crap that has taken over the country. It looks as if those stupid ideas are going away.

What a joke, even my wife and daughter have semi auto clones. We use them for hunting. It's a firearm, not an assault weapon, not a machine gun, and if it's not a Armalite then technically not even an AR. On top of that these clones are the number one selling sporting rifle today with probably 10 million or so of this type rifle in people's possession.

A lot of feelers being hurt over a bunch of nothing. Labeling all gun owners with these terrorists is just crap.
