Yeah, old Bibi is once again selling woof tickets with more empty threats about Israel’s ability to “act against Iran’s empire.”
Ummm...no he can’t. Not unilaterally and without U.S. help. If Israel could, they would’ve done it already. And he shouldn’t get too emboldened by the election of Trump. The defense establishment willl not go along with any plan the president may have to aid Israel in an attack on Iran. It ain’t gonna happen.
I know many people on the right in this country are spoiling for this confrontation, but they really shouldn’t be. Again, there’s no victory to be had in an invasion of Iran, and simple airstrikes won’t work. Troops will have to hit the ground in order to operate with any effectiveness. That would be our downfall.
And please...don’t say anything about nukes because no one is gonna use those against Iran.

Well, the whole shebang fell on deaf ears and the networks would not even cover it , save for FOX with John Bolton rattling his little sword and demanding the need for military intervention.
If there is no war with Iran and/or North Korea before 2020, then look to see the stock markets tank in a way that will remind everyone without any doubts who is in power and what can be done if they do not get what they want.

The stock markets would tank more if there was war than if there was not. Remember how indebted the US is and how soon more money will be spent on paying interest than anything else.
That said I do not see any alternative to war in East Asia. War in the Middle East however would be massive foolishness.
The US requires Iran, in order to have air, highway and rail access from the Persian Gulf/Arabian Sea/Indian Ocean Region to Central Asia.
Failure to meet our defense objectives will result in decreasing U.S. global influence, eroding cohesion among allies and partners, and reduced access to markets that will contribute to a decline in our prosperity and standard of living.
How much prosperity and prestige would we have if the West Coast cities were nuked? (Although some of the less well informed people on the right end of the political spectrum might rejoice, including more than a few C-D posters, that would signal the end of US power, prestige, and sovereignity)

He's saying act, not a full scale invasion. It's all pretty vague sabre rattling as both countries continue to fund and promote actions against the other.
