Why do you feel you have to make other's choices for them? Who deprived you as a kid where you are now a SJW who virtue signals like some sort of righteous defender of all things approved by you? Why are you so anti choice unless it's to kill a baby or decide what gender you are? How is making a choice to buy something anti-consumer? It's pro consumer and YOU are the anti consumer.
If this "insurance" is nothing than a money-making scam for the corporations that doesn't cover much of anything, then they have malicious intent.
It's called protecting the consumer. Not too different than say automobiles -- all cars today are required to have seatbelts, air bags, pass certain crash tests, and as of 2017, a backup camera. Those are for the good and safety of the consumer.

It's what the massive tax giveaway to big corporations was about, and it's what removing the responsibility of an insurance company to actually provide any health insurance benefits to their consumer is all about.
