Where's the backlash libs?

From WaPo -

"KOKOMO, Ind. — Democrats predicted a political backlash for *Republicans in December when the GOP pushed through a deeply unpopular tax cut that added more than $1 trillion to the federal deficit and disproportionately helped the wealthy.

But at the outset of the 2018 campaign season, Democrats’ early optimism appears less well founded here, where Democrat Joe Donnelly is facing a tough Senate reelection fight"

WaPo is a reliable lefty mouthpiece, but they seem surprised that Americans like having more money in their pay checks. What a surprising concept, eh libs. So one party fights to make sure you make your own spending decisions while the other party fights to make your spending decisions for you. Because they know better.

Carl (union president): Mr. Burns is giving us this round of free beer in exchange for giving up our dental plan.

Nuclear plant union members: yay!

Lenny: Goodbye dental plan! *gulps down beer*

Inside Homer Simpson’s Brain:
Lenny: ...dental plan!
Marge: ...Lisa needs braces.
Lenny: ...dental plan!
Marge: ...Lisa needs braces.
(repeat)

Not so fast. Too early to gloat.

You know the small extra amount working class people will get is a sop, like a bribe. The real money, the real cost to the budget is the tax breaks for the rich, and this will hurt people all over the country.

The Republicans could have given this small break to help you and left the tax rates on the rich where they were, but they didn't do that because intended wanted to bribe you to get the breaks they really wanted to pass.

The cost to this cut in taxes for the rich, super rich and foreign investors will come as services and programs like Social Security come under attack to balance the budget. This is a war on you.

People who care about these programs, like older folks and people with medical issues, will know what happened. Young, naïve and selfish, gullible people will take their extra $5 to $20 bucks a week and spend it on hot dogs and potato chips and not realize they are eating their future.

The anti-American Democrat Party's platform is to tell Americans they must feel bad about themselves, their country, and America's position in the world. The previous post is example enough of this.

Not exactly the best strategy for winning elections.

Nonsense.

You know the Democrats had no say whatever in how this was planned.

If you're willing to ignore real issues because you're blinded by a few extra peanuts in your paycheck, that makes you a sellout and not a patriot.
