We will never know how many times the presence of a gun has stopped a crime but they do every single day.

I wonder how many more cop ambushes we would have if the bad guys knew that they would not face a cop with a gun?
Or how about robberies of armored cars?
Or how about a woman that is being stalked by a stranger or ex, they make their move and she pulls out a gun?

There are so many times when the presence of a gun has stopped a crime.

I don't think anyone is arguing that guns don't help law enforcement.

Honestly, CD should just ban posters who ruin this site by posting easily disprovable BS time after time after time.

Infowars is a Russian troll source. The troll farm pumps their disinformation to Infowars as one of their prime means of getting their lies widespread quickly.

The troll's latest trick is to take someone's legitimate post off a website as soon as it appears, re-phrase it to suit themselves, and immediately put it back where it was on the website.

Some Twitter users just discovered this in the last couple of days, and the trolls are doing it on other sites than just Twitter.

This is cyberwar, folks, and the Russians are winning. 2016 was just the beginning, and they are getting better every day. They mean to take our election system and turn it to anyone they choose, any way then can. They will replace official election return numbers with phonies if they can, will crack our computer election system any way they can find, and will not stop until Putin tells them to stop.
They have lots and lots of operators who are fluent in English, and know how we write. They speak with American accents, are setting up phony PACs, phony candidate PACs, and phony websites that can fool the average American with no problem.

Their primary targets are the true believers. They are the easiest fish to take their bait, and the ones who do the spreading for them. Either party is just the same for them. They mean to put us into as much disarray as is possible, and they will pry any crack they find wider to do it.

Why? Because Vladimir Putin wants to re-create the old Soviet Empire in a larger and more modern form. He wants Russia to replace the United States as the most influential nation in the world.

And he is doing it without the cost of tanks, planes, troops and bullets. This is effective warfare on the cheap. Putin can afford it, and he won't stop.

It is up to all of us to do one simple thing- verify.
If you read something that sounds a little too sweet, something that's a little too close to your darkest suspicions, verify it by trying to find another source. Do not accept it at face value.
The best bait is always the sweetest.
If you never disagree with stuff on any website, then that site is going to be a troll target. And if you spread something you find on that site, you are doing their work for them.

For free.
