My dad drove till 90. We told him not to. He would never listen. Most people that age do not listen. He lost his license when he almost hit a crossing guard.
I have lived in Florida for 6 years. I have been hit 5 times. Three times in a lot where no note was left. The other two times I was rear ended sitting at a light (by drivers in their 80;s) . In thirty-five years prior to that I have been hit once.
If an elder is not able to drive safely, disable the car, do not take the keys.
It is frustrating to be hit in a parking lot. Happened to me twice in the church parking lot. No note.
I agree old people are a problem.. They should have to have driving test with a cop after age 80.
But then, DH has been rear ended by texting drivers while at a stopped at a light 3 times in the last 2 years.

Yep, I was just rear ended by a 90 year old in a huge SUV. He thought his crash avoidance system was supposed to stop the car.
Notice it just says "story from..." it is not a news story. It's been around a long time. I'd imagine the weapons and location change with the location of the person telling the story and the audience to whom he or she tells it.

It sure gets the anti-gunners triggered. The mental gymnastics was scoring 10's.

Pot stirring posts that present gun nuts as supportive of irresponsible people maintaining CCWs? No gymnastics needed. Notice responsible gun owners were pretty quiet.
Oddly I am not scared either - even with no guns on my person or stashed haphazardly in various locations in my car.
You know what else I'm not scared about? That my car gets broken into or stolen while I'm in the grocery store and a weapon registered to me is used to commit a crime or kill someone because I left them in the glovebox or console while I ran in to pick up ingredients for tonight's dinner.
The stupid does what the stupid does.
Bury your head in the sand is always the best solution to any problem.

What more do they need to say? You guys are making complete fools of yourselves trying to one up each other in a virtue signaling contest. We are not at the point you guys need more rope.
Wrong. There are no states that require you to you show your CCL upon being stopped if you're not carrying. Plus there are only 14 states that require you to pro-actively inform an officer that you are carrying in which case they may also require you to show your CCL/CCW.
The rest of the states (except for Georgia) only require you to inform the officer if you are asked. In Georgia, you don't even need to tell the officer if they ask.

Some people here need to lighten up a bit. IT"S A JOKE!
As said by every weird, out-of-touch uncle as the room fell silent at Thanksgiving after his attempt at a thigh-slapper.
