Gun control works. If it didn’t work, the Vegas shooter and the Florida school shooter would have used fully-automatic weapons and killed far more people. The one-time mass shooters are clearly using the most lethal weapons they can get without too much friction. Fully-automatic weapons are expensive, less available, and can create a paper trail with purchase. That’s evidently enough friction to make them not the weapon of choice. Therefore, the existing gun controls on fully-automatic weapons seem to work.
Professional criminals can always get weapons. But they are not the topic of most gun control conversations for that very reason.
I think they are jumping to conclusions here, who knows why they chose the weapons they carried out the attacks with, only they know the answer to that.
Im not sure why so many people still think full autos are so crazy expensive just because they have strict laws on the books regulating them. There are very tough laws on heroin too, but numerous states are in the midst of major heroin epidemics, so that logic is not always correct.
The AK47 is the most MASS PRODUCED assault weapon on the planet, NO ONE is paying $20K for something that is so mass produced and so widely used!
Scott (governor) is Owed by the NRA. We need more democrats in office. These Republicans haven’t shown us anything.
Yeah because the democrats have never shown how completely corrupt and in the bag with and/or totally owned by the likes of Soros, the SEIU,Teamsters and some others to the complete detriment of the taxpayers...
At least be honest about the fact that there are NO clean hands anymore.
the NRA supports background checks...and expanded background check which include mental health.... but the libs seem to be against the mental health issue, they say for HIPAA/privacy reasons, but one has to wonder why evn the NRA would be willing on more background check including mental health, but the libs are 'dead set' on bans and not the real issue of mental health
I'd check again, if I were you. The NRA is opposed to Universal Background Checks.

Had the Las Vegas shooter wanted full auto weapons there's little doubt he could have or would have gotten them. They are NOT impossible to get if you've got the money or knowledge/connections...

Legal being the key word there. Who is going to pay $20K+ to 'legally' own one when they can be easily obtained illegally for much less?
So why the argument for "gun control' ?
