This was the result of that campaign.

I encourage the Democrats to go with it.
No, it was because Reagan came off the high of surviving an assassination attempt and Mondale was not the best candidate. I honestly feel that if it hadn't been for Hinkley shooting Reagan and if Ted Kennedy hadn't primaried Carter in 80, that Kennedy could've ran against Reagan in 84 and won (though it wouldn't have been a landslide)

How silly. That was 3 years before the campaign.

And the Reagan Administration won an unprecedented 3rd term in 1988 when his VP beat Dukakis giving the GOP a 3rd consecutive win of the Presidency. This was the only time it has happened since FDR

Democratic Party has better economic platform and I'd vote for them if the party wasn't crazily liberal with sjw. Also they are pro illegal immigration and support abortion but against death penalty. Now they buy into this gender bending garbage too.

Republican Party only cares about big businesses and rich people.

Again, Dukakis wasn't a good candidate. I wouldn't have voted for him had I been old enough at the time, I would have voted third party or write in.

And GHWB was not a third Reagan term, GHWB was a one term president and Reagan was a two term president. Only one president ever got three terms, and that WAS FDR

Odd, how they are now proposing a trillion towards infrastructure.

Yep, more federal debt under Obama than each President from George Washington to George Bush and nothing to show for it.
Why is it odd? The Democrats have always been for infrastructure spending to create jobs:

"President Obama made an impassioned appeal on Thursday night for $447 billion in tax cuts and government spending to boost the nation’s lagging economic recovery, calling on lawmakers to put politics aside and work together to solve the jobs crisis.

Before a joint session of Congress, the president announced a package of tax cuts for employers and employees, spending on schools and roads, aid to states to keep teachers in jobs, and assistance for the unemployed." (Washington Post Sept 2011). His proposal was rejected by the Republicans. But when Trump makes similar proposals, suddenly he's the savior of the nation?

Yeah, Democrats don't run good candidates because their platform is bad.

That IS the point.

No, they have run good candidates. Bernie was a good candidate, Bill Clinton was a good candidate, Obama (as much as you don't like him) was a good candidate, and Ted Kennedy in the 1980 Primary was a good candidate, he was still young enough for the office at the time

I'm supposed to take this seriously? From people who don't know enough to understand where a platform comes from?

Besides, my former governor, Rick Perry, told the world never nobody pays any attention to platforms.

Let's go over your analysis...

On Bernie...wrong
On Bill Clinton....Never convicted, so this is libel
Obama....wrong on the incompetent and never even tried in court, so libel
Ted Kennedy....Never convicted in court, so libel

Anything else?

If anyone was a criminal it was Nixon (Watergate break in and cover-up) and Reagan (Iran Contra)
