It's legal.

I don't care for it - but it's legal.

Instead of having an emotional reaction to this - find out why it's legal... maybe there's a reason...
Yes. I would be opposed to it.

That makes no sense
Maybe he should give them free rooms. I mean, he's going to his properties. He doesn't have to charge them to stay there.

I could get behind this if they could stay for free and only spent money on food and so forth.

Well, not many presidents are as ethical as Jimmy Carter, bless him.

he cant give them the rooms for free... or even DRASTICLY reduced

that would be a violation of the ethics and gift rules for government employees

The government strictly limits the ability of its employees to accept gifts

as a member of the military I can not receive gifts from anyone... even "thank you for your service, let me buy you lunch"... its prohibited

https://www.army.mil/article/34509/g..._dod_employees

why would you be trying to suggest we do something illegal???

If they receive no benefit from it, and only the US government does, there is no gift.

Alternatively the Trump organization could donate it to the US government.

Your argument is nonsense designed to distract.

my argument is THE RULES aka a TOS (terms of service) (conditions of employment)

I cant even bring in "candy sale" fund raising for my kids school, to my government office...why because I WOULD BE receiving a BENEFIT

I cant even get a first-class upgrade on airfare

If Trump donated the money to the government, bam no benefit.

Your argument is nonsense, in the case of the candy sale you DO receive a benefit.

Fun fact, did you know some places give discounts to federal employees? GASP.

Heres a example:
Who is Eligible for Marriott's Government Rates?

Quit digging, your just getting further into the ground.

If Trump told them to kill their first born they would ask him if he preferred beheading or burning at the stake.
