It's mainly a handful of big companies in a few European countries rather than the whole of Europe.

Everyone knows names such as Swiss SIG Sauer which operates a seperate US Headquarted company, Austrian Company Glock, German company Heckler & Koch and Italian made Beretta but beyond these major international manufacturers the rest of Europe does not supply that many guns to the US.

How about a sales market ?

From your link:

"It was 25.7% then and it is 25.7% now," he said, which means that then as now one out of every four guns in the U.S. is of European-origin — with the key difference that the sheer number of European guns has doubled from two to four million.
So, not sure where increase is coming from if they have the same share % before and after.

2nd Amendment allows all Americans to be armed so what does it matter where the guns come from.

That is true. The issue is numbers.

The second amendment under Heller is not absolute. The government can pass reasonable gun control laws. I just think it unseemly that these governments look at the US as a dumping ground for weapons they would never allow on their home soil.

Do you understand 'Free Market'? That if there's demand, and supply can be made/provided that it will be consumed?

You're looking at the Effect (result), what you should be looking at is the Cause. What happened 6 years ago that might have caused people to want, and buy, more firearms? Hint, it's not because people are crazy.

As for the legality of what's offered here or there, that's largely irrelevant. They are simply businesses making what's in demand. Laws or tastes change, so will what's produced.

Where are Browning firearms manufactured?

Beretta USA - Manufacturing Today

Not to mention Turkey (Yildiz, TriStar,), England (Webley and Scott), Italy (Franchi), China (Norinco), Japan (Winchester and Browning).

It's really up to the US, if they want to put a tariff or ban on such weapons.

As I have already pointed pointed out the vast majority of European guns sold to the US come from four big intermational companies based in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Italy, the rest of Europe tend to sell far smaller numbers of firearms.
