Good luck with that. A persecution complex is not a suitable substitute for citizenship.
That was the line from Democrat slave owners when they defended slavery.

Sales taxes are regressive - meaning they fall most heavily on the poor, the ones who can least afford to pay those taxes.

That is why there is an income tax, it falls more heavily on those who CAN afford to pay it. Same thing with inheritance taxes.

Beyond this, wealth inevitably creates power imbalances in a society. So with your proposal, wealth (translates into power) will concentrate in the elite, the exact same situation that exists in the USA now-- only *much* worse. So as ironic as it sounds (especially to you), slowing down the rate of wealth growth for people who already have a fairly hefty amount of it (and especially more than "fairly hefty" amounts) actually safeguards freedom for all. So wealth redistribution ultimately is a way to keep the wealthy from becoming so powerful that their voices drown out the poor and even middle class.
The rich still outspend and are out taxed than the poor even without income tax.

Fridge irony sets in anytime it's brought up that Marx survived on income from his collaborator Freidrich Engels, whose family owned a factory.

As far as taxation - everyone's taxed, ergo, everyone should be represented.

It's not a suitable substitute for a leader of the free world, either, but here we are with Donald Trump on Twitter at 3a.m. blasting paranoid tweets about all the people out to get him.

That logic just shocks me. A group of people writes something down on paper, and regardless of what that is, you must obey or you're at fault?

What is the Party of Lincoln?

I can't believe so many people are so easily told to believe such utter nonsense, and they actually share it with us. Oh man, this is so sad.

When you truly know your history, you are aware of historical context. Everyone knows who the erstwhile "Solid South" backs nowadays.
