Who has the power to put in and get approved $10 million for disadvantaged Egyptian students?
That money should go toward disadvantaged Americans!
Cleaning up the water in Flint, infrastructure, college scholarships, or a thousand other worthy projects.

I agree. There are millions of ways that money could, and should, be spent right here, on Americans in need.
Why is our government funding other countries and weird things?
because of lobbyists mainly. And the odd bit of massive corruption. Its a lot easier to siphon funds off from overseas projects then it is to do so within the US. Citizens United has accelerated this recently as well in my opinion.
I'm not a big fan of Paul, but at least he is making an effort to read this monstrosity of a bill. I wonder if anyone else in Congress is? My guess is no. They're all going to vote for it without reading past the headlines.
No need to worry about paying for all the things in this bill. Next January, when the Democrats take over, the republican tax bill will be repealed and the rich, as well as the corporations, will be paying their fair share.
