I'm gonna miss him. It's been a privilege to have been on the earth at the same time he was.

Oh no, I'm very sorry to hear this. One of the great minds of our time, and he had a great sense of humor. RIP, indeed, and condolences to his family as well.

RIP, Professor. You were, are, and shall continue to be an inspiration. I hope you have joined the Universe you wanted so desperately to understand.

Sad to see he's passed, but happy that he no longer is trapped in his body. He was an inspirational figure, and a brilliant mind. RIP.

One of today's most brilliant people. Amazed he was able to live as long as he did, given all of his hardships. He will be missed!

Yup.

"My goal is simple," Hawking once told Science magazine. "It is complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all."

It will be a long time before someone reaches Hawking's notoriety. I don't remember a time when he wasn't held up as an example of extreme intelligence. It makes me wonder who the next generation will look to for the same type of inspiration.

Nearly everything Hawking ever said was baseless, most overrated person of all-time.
