It's just the same three percent that own more than half the guns already, increasing their stash. Ordinary Americans aren't rushing out to buy more weapons of mass destruction, just the usual terrified gun fanatics. Because you know, 17 guns is not enough for anybody.
Keep believing this lie. Meanwhile, my local shooting range is full of new gun owners.

You'd have to be truly delusional to not think that this "march to grab guns" is not driving scads of law abiding Americans to buy guns.
I cannot believe so many people still do not recognize whats going on! The public should have fought back when they banned full autos and regulated them to death, basically ensuring hardly anyone will legally purchase a full auto (but govt and LE are conveniently exempt from this of course!).
Its pretty clear, the less armed the public is, the more tyrannical govt becomes!!
Keep in mind, even during the American Revolution, there were PLENTY of american colonists that actually sided with England, The American patriots were terrorists in their opinion.
If tough new gun laws ever became reality, and it led to an uprising or revolution, im positive MANY MANY people would side with Govt/ LE.
Indeed.
There were a ton of Loyalists back in the day. An estimated 20% of the colonial population remained loyal to King George III during the American Revolution and even after. Some of the biggest battles fought in the Southeast US in the 18th century were between Loyalists and Patriots, and happened AFTER Cornwallis gave up his sword.
But every revolution, uprising, election, etc in history has some number siding with the existing ruling government, and some number siding with something/someone else. Hell, if a revolution happened tomorrow, the percentages of people willing to surrender their rights and side with fed.gov would probably be greater than half, and just like the Loyalists, they'd be siding with government because they want to continue the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed and fear anything upsetting that particular apple cart.
People think the popularity of Putin is a propaganda lie, but if you look around the world, people really do love siding with tyrants. Every time a Western power meddles in the Southwest Asia and "frees" the people from some dictator, the very first those people do is vote for a) more (and more brutal) sharia and b) some strongman coalition. Same with Russia, China, etc. People in large numbers think and act like sheep, and they tend to prefer a tough, oppressive shepherd because of their innate fear of the unseen, terrifying wolves.
My point is that the person opposing government and fighting for their rights is the exception, not the rule. So yeah, you're absolutely right that MANY MANY people would side with the government. The vast majority, I'd say.
It's your side bragging how 17 early graves are filling the coffers, so...
The NRA does this after every mass slaughter. They get out there and whip the gun lovers into a frenzy. Works every time. No one knows how to "never let a crisis go to waste" better than the NRA.

Don't bother. This poster will cling to what he believes and has a couple of links which I can't believe haven't been posted yet.
Mean while those of us that are in to firearms , frequent the ranges, frequent the shops, purchase things (much of which is on backorder) know differently.
If what this guy claims is true, going to the local gun shop would be like going to Cheers. The same old crowd, buying up stuff. Such is not the case.
