Making statements like this shows that he is mentally unbalanced and dangerous to the public. Anyone making these sorts of threats should be taken quite seriously by law enforcement, and he needs to be committed for a mental health evaluation at the very least. He could easily be the next Nikolas Cruz waiting to snap.

For making public threats, I'll let the FBI handle it, thanks. They already know where to find him after he threatened Obama. He should never have been allowed into law enforcement. That says more about the sheriff in Michigan than it does about Nugent.

It wasn't the guns, it was lack of action on the threats. The threats, after all, were just words.

Violence only occurs when someone actually breaks the non-aggression principle. If Cruz committed no crime (a real one...meaning a victim of violence can be identified) then that's just life.
The end never justify the means.
