Cohen was hoping to delay the review and, presumably, his prosecution. Allowing Cohen/Trump to do it would have been a massive delay. The appointment of a special master would be a smaller delay.
The Pope would get married before the judge gave Cohen/Trump control of those materials...
This. Sometimes there are growing pains and process is NEVER easy. If Hillary was president I could see the GOP getting a veto-proof 60 in the senate. All of these Trump cult screaming and yelling remember The GOP is losing two generation of voters - the millennials and Gen Z. The Republicans are screwed. Democrats will get the house in 2018 and the senate in 2020 and presidency.
I hope that is true but the DNC has been known to screw themselves w/o any help before...
Judge Kimba Wood is reserving decision on whether to appoint a special master or just let the US Attorneys team review the documents for privilege. Apparently the idea of Cohen or Trump's team reviewing the documents first is out the window at this point.
I posted her wiki page
She is smart and not intimidated by men
Has been through the political news wringer once when Clinton nominated her for AG and she had a home helper of some kind--nanny or maid--that was undocumented--had to withdraw her nomination
She as a judge married George Soros in civil ceremony so she knows the kind of people in Trump's aura--not intimidated by wealth...
She has been on that bench for long time and knows SDNY--
She won't turn against those guys/gals IMO
It does seem odd that a guy like Hannity would take legal advice - even free legal advice - from Trump's attorney. I mean, doesn't he have enough money to actually hire an attorney if he needs "real estate advice"?
If nothing else, this sure casts doubt on everything Hannity has had to say about the "witch hunt."

Banner on MSNBC says judge denied Trumps requrest for TRO
That Cohen's attorneys will have access to "identify" materials taken
Someone who is former AUSA said it looks like "rolling discovery" is what she says Govt should do
More about identifying materials received
So don't think this is settled yet
They/Cohen will want to protect as much as they can from FBI/SDNY
So likely will be back in court in two days because they won't agree about what is covered under the warrant...
Pretty doubtful he'll go any further than the statement he made a few hours ago. As someone mentioned upthread, he's getting close to morphing from "Witness" to "Subject".
