Why? If it happens it happens at least we'd be warm on the way out....

Delusion? Is the savior becoming an oppressor a delusion? You youngsters need to wisen up. Keep your boiler plate blatherings to yourself. It's been said a billion times and never made a difference to anyone. It's an excuse for poor behavior.

Is that anything to be scared of? If it is a plausible threat, what is Trump doing as president to address and forestall such an attack? If nothing, then he is literally allowing Russia the leeway to take over the country without a shot being fired.
Trump is a very scary guy!

They are good at defending their homeland, not at projecting power elsewhere. Their military is actually pretty bad overall right now. Lots of stuff that looks good on paper, but doesn't work, or it is not maintained, and in short supply. Their troops aren't nearly as well trained as ours, nor well equipped. They use a lot of contractors, and conscripts that aren't very motivated.

I keep reading comments saying Russia is broke and can't afford a war and that their military is incapable, I keep thinking how its dangerous to underestimate a opponent and be so sure how a chain of events will or will not unfold.
