I don't get the logic or lack of. Either do both or neither.
"Refugees" don't get to skip to the country of their choosing. To qualify for refugee status you can only go to the next adjacent country. There is no US border with Syria. The same goes for illegals in latin America. Mexico is the bordering country, not the United States.

Who said bombs help refugees? It was meant to "punish" Assad, which it did not do of course. New tents might, but not bombs. By your logic we need to bring in every refugee in the world.
If our actions are helping to create them, what we "want" isn't the issue. Or at least, it shouldn't be.
Let them go to a neighboring country. We don't need them here, nor do we have a responsibility to bring them here. Where did the refugees go when we were invading Europe during WWII?

Correct. Trump doesn't care about Syria. He cares about looking good to himself. Everything he does revolves around his enormous ego. I doubt he even cares about pandering to his base anymore. He has the White House; there's no higher office to achieve, and he's so narcissistic he believes he will get a second term no matter what he does. I was reading an article in the New York Times last night. It discussed the lack of clear objectives in Syria. So he bombed it. What now? What did this accomplish exactly? I doubt Trump even knows himself.
I believe by dropping bombs would help stop the hostilities so people there would not become refugees.
Your reasoning makes no sense.
