Personally I wish we had more information on the news about this type of behavior from the GOP which certainly shows how hypocritical and hateful of women and the taxpayers they really are
Likely the ones most opposing are the ones who have hidden cases of harassment in their history

Looks like the exception which proves the rule.

One male Republican signs on, one male Democrat does not.

Actually both-- not either/or
The GOP men hope to get away w maybe just the "letter of support"
Meaningless compared to the bill which compels change in process
Cruz must really be scared to co-author w Gillibrand--such a liberal image

Most of these suits are just a shakedown of a vulnerable person who has done no wrong. The women in question file knowing that the person will pay, even if innocent, rather than have the falsehoods presented as fact by the media. A person's reputation and career can be destroyed merely by accusation. Under these circumstances it is in the public interest to pay to quiet them as repulsive as that thought is.

No it's not. Let them carry the process out. If found innocent, thats the process. If found guilty, you are on the hook for damages.

Our system is not perfect but it works the vast majority of times.
