I think you'll find that landlords have played a full part in determining the evolution of the "us vs. them" thing for decades, probably centuries... and they are first to cry foul when the chips dont fall their way or a renter steps out of line... so here we all are.

Renting out property is a business, and business is full of pitfalls, uncertainties and challenges. Sounds like the landlord in this story has decided they don't like doing business this way anymore and have put their building up for sale.
I’m not blaming her , but more idiots judges and judges that allowed her to pay $100 month rent .

I know that in cities like NYC and L.A things are definitely not fair and the tenant has a lot more power .

Just because he defied the odds the first time doesn't mean he'll do it again. You guys are getting too cocky. Especially considering a lot of independents voted for him as an unknown lesser of two evils. You can't count on that again

I really question that in 2018 she is still paying only $100/month. Even Rental Control goes up a certain percentage ever year. My parents lived in a Rent Controlled apartment for decades. When they moved in, the rent was $125/month. When Mom died in 1993, her rent was $400/month.

Something does not add up here.
